1919-1996Curioso individuo, capaz de ser virtuoso solista de violin hasta los 16 anos, fotografo en la guerra que condujo a la creacion del Estado de Israel, y cineasta desde 1953, basicamente como productor y, en menor medida, como guionista. En 1956 Josef Shaftel se estrena como realizador con la pelicula The Naked Hills, un western que tiene sus atractivos, del que tambien es guionista. Shaftel solo volvio a dirigir otra vez, ese mismo ano.
